NEVER TOO SMALL

Contemporary Amsterdam Attic Conversion #smallapartment #interiordesign
Originally an unfinished attic in a renovated 1920s social housing complex, designer Michiel Hilbrink of ardor—studio drew inspiration from the building's fir wooden beams, load-bearing wall, pitched roof and natural light for the redesign of his family’s 60sqm home. At the back of the apartment, Hilbrink built a small mezzanine bedroom in the 5m high ceiling, designed as one unit with the stairs and deep custom cupboards, all finished in oak veneer.
